MATT TELFER
CEO
Matt has over 35 years of E&P experience with a successful track record of discovering major plays and was involved in numerous
Austin Chalk discoveries: Double-A Wells North, Magnolia, and Beech Grove Fields.
Matt’s operating company, Border to Border Exploration, LLC, has drilled over 60 wells in the Woodbine and Austin Chalk trend in Polk, Tyler and Jasper Counties in Texas. Matt built his operating company to be in the top 40 private producers in the US, drilled over 1,000,000 feet of vertical and horizontal wellbores, and operated over 16,000 BOE per day. He was a finalist for TIPRO’s (Texas Independent Producers & Royalty Owners Association) Top Texas CEO of large oil companies in 2014.
Matt holds a B.S. Degree in Geology and has completed Masters Degree coursework at SUNY Binghamton University, where he is a Distinguished Alumnus. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and was a Distinguished Lecturer in 2012. Matt is a registered Professional Geologist in Texas and Wyoming.

BLAKE RANDALL
Senior Asset Manager
Blake joined the team in May of 2008 with a BS in Geology from Jackson School of Geosciences, The University of Texas at Austin. He is in charge of oversight of Austin Chalk, Woodbine, and Eagle Ford drilling programs. Blake oversees the management of producing assets, daily operations, and associated field personnel.
JOHN DRAKE
Senior VP of Acquisitions
John joined the team in 2009 with a BS in Geology from Jackson School of Geosciences, University of Texas. He oversees all data evaluation and economic model analysis for
pertinent acquisition candidates.
LAND
BRENT CANTALOPE
Land Manager
Brent has dedicated the vast majority of his professional career to Land Management and Asset Development. Prior to the formation of Eagle Valley Energy, he served as Senior Landman for BBX Operating, LLC & Border to Border Exploration under the direction of Matthew Telfer. In that capacity, he was responsible for
Leasing, Contract Negotiations, Title Diligence, GIS and Land Operations.
Mr. Cantalope graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Management.
THOMAS HOCH
Landman
Thomas comes to the team as a graduate of Texas Christian University in 2016 with a B.S. in Economics with Energy Technology & Management minor. Before joining Eagle Valley, Thomas worked for a year as a field land man, running title and leasing with a small group in the Central Texas' Giddings play. Within a year the group put together over a 12,000 acre project, which was subsequently acquired by Eagle Valley Energy. Thomas now oversees prospect leasing and mapping
in South and Central Texas.

Ian joined the team in June 2008 with aBS in Geology and GIS from (SUNY) Binghamton University. He provides technical analysis including petrophysics, reservoir volumetrics, geo-database management, mapping, and geo-steering

Jake joined the team in 2011 with a BS in Geology from St. Norbert College, his MS in Geology, and a certificate in GIS from Florida Atlantic University. His research has been presented at the 11th International Coastal Symposium in Poland and published in the Journal of Coastal Research

Mark joined the team in 2010 after presiding over hundreds of regulatory hearings for the Texas Railroad Commission as a Hearing Officer. Mark is admitted to practice law in the states of

Rhonda joined the team in 2019 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The Art Institute of Austin. With 15 years of experience in the construction industry and as a lifelong photographer, Rhonda brings insight and productivity to managing the
daily operations of the office.
